Alubuild USA installed the glass atrium consisting of 5,725 SF of laminated glass distributed in a total of 112 panes supported via custom fittings, and 30 custom steel tubes anchored in between two towers. The south tower located in parcel G is part of a million SF development featuring two high-rise towers, retail, and community space located in Long Island City’s Hunter’s Point South neighborhood.

Yielding a total of 94,000 SF, the Hotel consists of 96 guestrooms and suites with amenities such as six food and drinks spots, an interior courtyard measuring 1,500 SF, Spa, a large fitness room, a rooftop pool, and a screening room.

Alubuild USA installed the window wall (~40,000 SF), punch windows (~16,000 SF), fire-rated windows (2,000 SF), slab edge covers, metal panels (approx. 82,000 SF), glass railings (~2,100 SF), and storefront and doors on this 31-story structure located in downtown Manhattan. The new building contains 209 rental units and two flagship retail spaces with three floors of commercial space with their own dedicated entrances on Broadway and Dey Street situated at the base.

The project consists of two 51-story towers built atop a 12-story base. The two million SF development will host a total of 1,723 rental apartments, about 41,000 SF of retail space, and roughly 880 parking spaces. Amenities for residents include indoor and outdoor pools, a basketball court, bowling alleys, a playroom, and a library.
Alubuild USA is currently installing the exterior façade made of a custom bespoke curtain wall system designed and manufactured by Al Abbar Aluminum in Dubai.

Amenities for residents include almost 290 bicycle parking spaces and a rooftop deck overlooking the Jersey City and Manhattan skylines to the east.  An 8,000 SF retail space on the ground floor will be accessible to the public from both Central and Newark avenues as well. Alubuild USA will install the curtainwall along with the punch windows, louvers, and aluminum cladding supplied by Al Abbar Aluminum.

THE PRISM BUILDING
Cork, Ireland

With fully glazed ultra-transparent façades offering 360-degree panoramic views of Cork City Centre, the Docklands, and the River Lee. The floor-to-ceiling super clear vision glass provides an optimum combination of very high light transparency with low-reflectivity and solar protection for a pleasant ambient indoor climate throughout the year. The glass walls will be complemented with a textured stainless-steel element, adding to the ‘crystalline’ effect of the overall building.

CABLE O’LEARY’S HOTEL
Kerry, Ireland

This 48-room high-quality hotel overlooking Ballinskelligs’ beach and bay was designed with a particular attention to the original structure of the old Cable Station that used to be located on the same grounds. While most of the buildings have now been demolished, we made sure to capture the local, historic, aesthetic characteristics of the Cable Station by incorporating slate roofing and white pebble dash exterior finish. Amenities include bar,  restaurant, meeting rooms, and a convenience store.

RADISSON HOTEL EXTENSION
Dublin 8, Ireland

This design and build project involved the extension to the existing Radisson Hotel on Chancery Lane in Dublin, providing a new spa facility for the hotel and 84 additional hotel bedrooms facing onto the new square.

Alubuild Ireland provided design, engineering, production, and installation of windows, curtain wall, metal cladding, balustrades, and architectural sunshade systems on this project consisting of the construction of a 7-story over 2 story basement block and the construction of a 5-story bedroom block over the existing hotel function room.

University College Cork’s Crow’s Nest Student Accommodation Development 
Cork, Ireland

Alubuild Ireland provided design, engineering, production, and installation of Windows, Doors, Curtain Wall, Metal Cladding, Balustrades, and Architectural Sunshade Systems at the University College Cork’s Crow’s Nest student accommodation development. The project consists of 255 student bedrooms above a ground floor level, a wellness center and a café area.  Four towers, ascending from the 1st floor outside concourse area, varying in height from 7 to 9 floors.

These apartments arranged in ‘clusters’ are composed of a central communal area containing the kitchen and living room and an adjacent entrance lobby.
